Frequently asked questions

What conditions do you treat?

Dr. Keerti Goorah, PT, will see your little one for many reasons. She has preference and expertise in treating the following conditions for children with the following conditions.

  • torticollis (preference for turning head to one side and/or side bending)

  • developmental delay, specific to gross motor milestones

  • cerebral palsy

  • asymmetrical gross motor skills (preference to use one side of the body or to turn to one side)

  • genetic disorders

  • toe-walking

  • hypotonia

  • hypertonia

  • orthopedic conditions (post-op, broken bone, etc)

Do I need a referral?

No, at least not initially. Virginia is a direct-access state, which means you will not need a referral for the first 30 days that services are provided.

What is your cancellation policy?

We get that things happen! Our ask is that we each communicate and be courteous with one another. Please tell Dr. Goorah that you need to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment if you are able to do so. We understand that you or your little one might wake up sick. If this happens, please cancel first thing in the morning, before 8am. A full session rate may be charged if you are unable to meet these requests.

How does payment work?

Wild Ones Physical Therapy accepts payment directly as an out-of-network provider. Upon request, you can receive a Super Bill, which is essentially a detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. It is recommended to talk to your health insurance provider to see if you have coverage.

The following questions can help to guide the conversation between you and your health insurance provider:

  • Do I have Out-of-Network physical therapy benefits? If not, what does that mean?

  • Am I eligible to receive direct reimbursement from the insurance company for my visit?

  • What percentage of the money I paid at my visit will the insurance company reimburse me?

  • Do I have an Out-of-Network deductible to meet?

How can I contact you?

You can reach us by phone or email. We are always happy to answer your questions.

What if my child is an adult?

Dr. Goorah will see adult patients on a case-by-case basis. If your adult child requires more than 1 person in the water with them for safety, that will be determined upon evaluation and can be discussed.
